The challenge
High-resolution artwork had to be shown beautifully and protected from scraping, and the previous site had been taken over by attackers.
What we built
A Next.js and Payload CMS application with an image-protection pipeline: originals stay private, visitors see resized and watermarked derivatives, zoom tiles are served through signed, session-bound URLs, and AI crawlers are blocked. The WordPress content and URLs were migrated with permanent redirects.
What changed
The artist’s studio manages works, series and journal posts in both languages, while the originals never leave private storage.
